Here are the guidelines on how to detect bot traffic and how to handle it.
As a general rule, bots are identified through browser and user agents.
Identify bot traffic
You can identify which traffic segments generates bot traffic by grouping your analytics according to the user agents or browsers family. Once you have identified the the bot traffic you can take action.
Filtering bot traffic
To filter bot traffic from your campaigns you need to take two actions.
1. Set the landing pages or offer links targeting rules
2. When adding a campaign, you must apply the relevant targeting rules.
Once the rules are applied your campaign should automatically redirect the bot traffic according to the campaign fallback settings.
